AstroSouth Directory - for Astronomy across the South.

Astronomy on your doorstep, also starts over there...

HantsAstro is for anyone who has any interest in Astronomy who wishes to use this as a stepping stone into something more active.

With this in mind we have created AstroSouth, a directory of all the active groups that our members (and curious folk) are close to in the South of England. It's an enthusiastic community that has been growing over decades. More information will be added over time, and gives us a great reason to get in touch with all of you! Since its launch a year ago, this unique Astronomy directory has had over 18,000 downloads from this website, and is being distributed by an ever growing number of astronomical societies across Southern England.

Published quarterly and covering a line from Kings Lynn to Bristol, all the astronomy societies are listed as well as all the astronomical places such as planetariums and museums. We update quarterly but If we missed you, or the info is not up to date then drop me a line, david.woods@hantsastro.org and we'll update your details or if you think anything should be added.

For our third edition we have an accent on Space businesses in the area, and have compiled a listing of companies in South that specialise in services to the successful UK Space industry, that generates billions of pounds for the UK economy and employs over 68,000 people. Getting into Astronomy is linked to many careers...

The AstroSouth Directory exists to promote astronomy and its community and the space industry in the South, so any positive input is welcome.

Either way, we look forward to hearing you in the future.

DW.
